Jim Scarlata has been a consulting forester for over 30 years. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree focusing on forest ecology from Michigan State University. Jim takes a holistic approach that evaluates the tree and its environment. Jim’s goal is to help people maintain a healthy landscape sustainable for many years to come.
Jim Scarlata is a tree disease and habitat restoration specialist. As a Consulting Forester and Arborist, he helps people create and maintain healthy sustainable landscapes, forests, and shorelines. He strives to achieve a holistic approach to tree care, helping people create a sustainable, healthy landscape or forest.
Jim graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, specializing in forest ecology. He is a registered Consulting Arborist, and a member of the American Society of Consulting Arborists.
Jim has written numerous articles in publications and trade journals including; Tree Care Industry Magazine, Arborist News Magazine, and co-authored the Michigan Tree Evaluation Guide.
